My driving career started in 1978 working for the Ministry Of Defence on the Ambulance service. I observed many road traffic incidents and had to deal with many fatalities. Through this experience, it drove me forward to train and enhance my knowledge for the prevention of road traffic incidents. I became self employed from 1984, and have been Registered with the DSA (Driving Standard Agency) as a Grade A Approved Driving Instructor and also on the DVSA Fleet Driver Training Register. More recently I passed a ROSPA National Diploma in Practical Theoretical and Presentational Skills to deliver in Advanced Driving Techniques. This entitles me to hold an NVQ3 in Driver Training and I am a senior Skid car Instructor for MK Driver Training. I also work on behalf of Silverstone circuit as one of their Instructors teaching how to recognise and deal with all types of skids. In 2005 I became company director for MK Driver Training where I provide B+E, C1, C1+E, D1, D1+E, CAT C and C+E training so that a vast range of individuals, whether personal or professional, from all walks of life can take their tests. Currently I am a DVSA 3A Reversing Assessor and a Module 4 Assessor. I have had overwhelmingly positive results, putting MK Driver Training well above the national standard pass rate (%) in all categories mentioned. I provide driver training for a vast amount of ambulance services, private and NHS, in order to help their driver obtain their C1 licence entitlements so they can drive the ambulances safely and legally. South Central Ambulance Service, East Midlands Ambulance Service and East of England Ambulance Service are to name but a few. In 2013 I became a DAT (Driver Assessor/Trainer) for MiDAS (Minibus Drivers Awareness Scheme) on behalf of the CTA (Community Transport Association), providing MiDAS Courses up and down the country for a wide variety of organisations. With my wealth of knowledge and expertise I can be of huge benefit in helping anybody to achieve almost anything they desire within the driver training industry.
A District Nurse for 10 years also working along side the Paramedic Service, which inspired me to want to provide C1 training for future paramedics. My philosophy for MK Driver Training is treat customers as I would want to be treated. Good customer service means helping customers efficiently, in a friendly manner. It's essential to be able to handle issues for customers and to do your best to ensure they are satisfied. Providing good service is one of the most important things that can differentiate your business from its competitors.
Danny Comiskey, MK Driver Training Manger. I am a very highly experienced HGV/LGV Driver Trainer, with excellent communication skills. I have been working in the HGV Driver Training industry for many years, with over 30 years of HGV Driving experience. I have a wealth of knowledge that I enjoy passing onto others.
I served in the military for 14 years before leaving and working for a period of time in the Middle East and Africa. I obtained my HGV licence whilst in the army, and so went onto form Agnew Transport Ltd, starting on a new venture in road haulage Having spent over 25 years tramping up and down the roads of the UK and Europe, the time had come for a new challenge and perhaps give something back to Wthe industry. The opportunity arose to join MK Driver Training as an instructor at the beginning of 2018, teaching and carrying out assessments on everything up to C+E and for over 6 years. I have enjoyed the change from poacher to gamekeeper seeing many individuals successfully transition from one walk of life to another.
